How to change Date Picker colours on android

Currently having an issue where the Set/Cancel buttons for android are invisible on light mode, the text is white on a white background. I can only find an option to change the top bar of the date picker in median, is there a way to manually set the colour of the buttons on the date picker? Works fine on iOS
